Console General Discussion: Gear Revamp
With the Gear revamp a little over tow months away I'd like to know how to prepare for it?

Should I stockpile Gems while I can?

My current armor can be upgraded to new armors?

Do the dailies on Island of dawn change significantly?

Should I spend all my Tokens before the change?

What else should I know?
Yes you need billions or trillions of gems , gear revamp cost tons of gold per attempts
Also gems

Nope if your gear is below misery gear. If your gear is better than misery +12 you can dismantle in to new gear, Twishard, Frosmetal, then stormcry gear.

I strongly recommend you hit deahtwrack +15 or ambush before the patch hit, Cause reach stormcry form twishard will be epic expensive. Vs normal ambush or other gear leveling.

Yeah, now island of dawn is going to be your best way to gearing fast, cause you are going to need golden talents and silver talents like candies. Or you cannot progress.
Best way is high tier bams hunt.

For tokens of course spend all of them before the patch, cause they are gong to be useless, none of the things that you used to buy with old tokens will be useful with gear revamp.
So if I were you I exchange them , for goddesses tears and sell it for gold.

May that you are going to focus with gear revamp on 4 items to progress.
1) farm gems with guardian mission

2) get gold tons and tons (dugens going to pay more gold farm it).

3 ) silver and golden talents , best way to farm via PvP boxes, pve , or island of dawn Hunting Bams

4) master professions immediately, you need

Alchemy artisan to turn rubies, in to shappires, then emeralds, or diamonds.

Weapon artisan, to craft golden talents in to darics, then plates

Armor artisan, to turn silver talents in to siglos and then silver plates

Etch master, to craft any useful buff for your gears for free.

If you ignore this you may need to pay 10x more gold for everything, cause people abuse on trade broker.

Hope helps, Pd English isn’t may main. Happy gaming

If wish a deep explanation this is the best page for everything about Tera

Very useful
Just a note - the Gear Revamp on console is likely to be a lot easier than PC, as it needs to be more....casual friendly. They need it to be possible to upgrade gear in hours rather than weeks.

We have already asked EME about this, and they have confirmed there will be some changes made to make it more Console casual friendly.
i only have the guile set, and don't have tons of time to play till april, or have anyone to play with, guess it's time to quit then

Original gear revamp is pretty bearable and fair in grind, getting to +9 sc wasn't so hard and expensive as @Gatokatzen claims, this dude just exaggerates everywhere he goes.
I do agree Heroic Oath and up should def be nerfed both for pc and console but nerfing sc just makes console sound like even more of a joke geez
After 3 x nerfed prices on PC may that’s the patch they’re going to get, if you forget original gear revamp PC was expensive, twishard cost 80.000 gold per character, actually 40.000. Stormcry 600.000 gold. Now aprox 300.000 gold.
Also materials were nerfed. Stormcry till +9, 2.500.000 gold. Now may be the same or even worse .(whole set)

If people want to save gold, and materials, they should get high tier gear now, to start in Stormcry +2. Less wasted time and gold

I said the true, old gear were a bit harder to get due to RGN materials, but this new system is grinding more an requires more time to obtain. Also add the thing that people hate so much ,tons of ITEM XP, to progress. remember that name, you are going to hate it, If consoles going to be easy good.
But be ready anyway.

Pd( never, never, but never enter with guardian gear, the new basic cheap gear,to a 3 person dugen) or a whole guardian gear party , your damage will be zero , and you may spend hours to end a basic dugen. Go for twishard +0 faster as you can. Guardian gear Is the weakest gear in Tera history.
So what happes to Alkahests and feedstock? Do they become useless? is that system still used for low level gear? can they be vendored?

Also Gold is a bit of an issue I usually spend 80kish each month on elite status which is pretty much everything I make in a month. What are some ways to really make some cash right now to better prepare for he change?

Also outside of leveling new charecters what are ways one can get their hands on more rubys and saphires(and emeralds and diamonds lol)?
Console General Discussion#10 Vinyltails02/01/2019, 05:28 PM
Feed and alk up to tier 5 is used for under 65 gear but all alkahest t5 and up become useless. T11 and 12 feed and MWA (and all other old enchantibg stuff like Spellbind) and be dismantled for entrophic tokens to buy new mats (specifically Talents).

To make money, spam 16 vanguards on all alts and sell spare enchanting mats and look what's selling, basically play the broker.

Gems (and gold) become much easier to get when Guardian missions come

1)Alkahest and feedstock can be exchanged for metamorph emblems, you can buy the new materials for enchanting new gears.

Very useful if wanna progress faster. ( if consoles get pre patch, you can get tons of metamorph emblems jus playing dugens.)

2) depends, with guardian mission, you can get 40 boxes aprox 12.000 to 25.000 gold (according to your luck RGN boxes) in jewels if wanna gold, with super gears you can farm boxes epic faster and get more gold per hour.
Also low tier dugens like ravenous George, can be farmed epic faster with just frosmetal +5 and get gold faster, by using your elite and reset scrolls. More gold.

Option b: buy gems from Tera store and sell it for gold, or sell items for gold

3)crafting by yourself you can get more gems that just buy them for gold.

Guardian mission 40 boxes per character,+ alchemist artisan = free emeralds , free diamonds, by crafting by yourself.

Option b: buy gems from store : some people get tons of gems paying for gem boxes, on Tera store.

Nope, guardian mission are per contribution points, you hit a Bam ,and get points if do more damage to the Bam than other people get even more points and every 100.000 points you get a box with a gem inside. May contain: 90% chances of 1 , 2 or 3 rubies 5% chances shappires , 1% emerald and-9999% diamond.

40 boxes per character every 24 hours, more chars more gems.

I am very concerned about smart dyads, etchings and the gear revamp. Coming from other games where the devs seemed to delight in making changes that invalidated a player's time spent, I feel an effort should be made to give players some of these items during the revamp. Smart dyads have been included in many of the more recent events and my friends have used them on Deathwrack equipment without knowing the full scale of the gear revamp. They have just learned that the PC players lost all of them during the revamp and are seething that the same may happen on console. Perhaps a scroll that unbinds etchings and dyads or just have them all unbind from the old equipment but still be bound to character. Please don't marginalize the effect of losing such items has on a player's will to keep playing a game.
Thank you for reading.
Console specific information

Save about 410k gold to buy all the crafting recipes for talents and gems

Save more gold to assist in gearing

Do you EIGHT vg dailies on each character

Get to at least +12 misery to convert yo twist shard

If youre in ambush/deathwrack unawakened then stock pile feedstock and mwa and wait.
You wont need to pay the 2k fs awakening fee post revamp so youll have more effective chances at +ing your gear to +15 to convert to high frost metal or +2 stormcry.

Get all crafting professions to master on each class

Make/buy a quatrefoil brooch now because once april comes you wont get the chance anymore

Stock up on triumph/war badges/ lakan mats/ etc to dismantle into large quantities of etropic emblems if you dont need them for deathwrack

Do Pit of Petrax at least a couple times a week to stock up on rubies

Hold on to all elite boxes and dont open them

Get all your godsbane/heavensbane jewelry resized and ready

Get your circlet and upgrade it

Right now if your stuff isnt awakened its best to stockpile as much as possible.
@Gatokatzen and @Maximumbooty - Thank you both for such detailed lists of preparation steps for the upcoming revamp. This really helps for someone like me, who never heard of Tera until it came out on console, so I have no idea what the PC version has. Luckily, I have always enjoyed gathering and crafting a lot, so I already have masters in all four crafts. I will be working on some of the other things to prepare for the revamp. :)

@Exipheus wait, ALL designs including the ones already learned? so post-revamp players will be crafting new items in order to master a craft, if they have already? I thought etchings will still be craftable ? .-.

If you run Harrowhold, you can get the Marrow Brooch which is better than Quatrefoil. That'll most likely be the brooch we have next patch. I believe Deathwrack, Ambush, and Misery designs will go as well. So I recommend crafting any of the gear you wish to craft before revamp.
Console General Discussion#22 Lingyi03/07/2019, 03:40 AM
@Exipheus it makes sense for those items.

Do you know if we can still reliably get feedstock and alkahest to continue enchanting the old gears? I know you can convert old items in token that be exchanged for those two resources, but any other ways?

Aside from farming low tier feedstock, dismantling gear, or using the new emblems we get from converting old materials, I don't think there is any other way to get feedstock. As for alkahest, I'd guess that the only way is to use the emblems to get more. Best advice I can give is farm as much feedstock and alkahest as you can before revamp and make sure all your gear is crafted as well. Anything less than +12 will not be converted.

You're welcome!
@Lingyi

Designs and drops will be updated, the items that drop now will never drop again this includes goddess tears and their designs.

The only way to get a qfoil brooch post revamp is to upgrade your brooch upwards of every tier until the update that allows the brooches to all be upgraded to a Qfoil brooch and then superior qfoil.

Only other way until then is to complete HH, get the head and create a marrow brooch.
Or just be happy with your superior brooch that benefits that class.

One thing is still confuse me a lil bit. Some players said that awakening a gear piece no more exist after gear revamp but we can still enchant a T12 gear, for example: Deathw. with alk and T12-feedstock after the upgrade. So my DW gear is only Masterw. +12 but not awaken. Is it better not to awaken and waitin until april instead to save some feedstock + MWA (2000 Feed/ 1000 MWA) or should i enchant my gear now to +15?
Console General Discussion#28 Mordrich03/10/2019, 11:32 AM
P.S.: is the extensive (golden) and valuable (green) alkahest still usuable as entchanting mats after the patch?

At this point, don't awaken anything that isn't already awakened. Save your feed and alk for pot revamp, then enchant to +15. Yes, I believe they're still usable after revamp.

oof, I spent about 12k t11 fds enchanting my weapon from +12 to +15 after awakening it. Based on that time's market value on the broker, the amount of fds equaled to about million gold. It's all rng.

And supposedly the gear revamp will help to lessen the rng aspect to a certain extent.

My apologies, I meant "post revamp". I don't believe it necessarily makes enchanting old gear easier, but you won't have to pay the 2k T12 feed awakening cost leaving with 2k more feed to use towards +15.
VoodooRose wrote: »

Have you been using minimum feed enchanting or max feed?
Why should we have to try and enchant with a method that takes significantly more time and effort? Yes, minimum mats enchanting is better, but that is a LOT more work. Make it easier and it might be acceptable, though I am not convinced of that. (Remember the last choice status at least instead of resetting max again IIRC.)

How does it take significantly more time and effort? You just go to the amount of feed you're using, and adjust it so that it's a lower number. It's less work because you're saving feed. If you use max enchant, then you're blowing through more feed, resulting in having to grind for more, thus more work. Would you rather simply select the amount of feed or go grinding for the feed needed to enchant?

If I compare two of my Deathwrack weapons that I used both methods on to prove a point, (albeit a small sample) the one I used max feed took 800 T12 feed to get to +12. The other one I used minimum enchanting on, cost me 103 T12 feed. That's about a 700 T12 feed difference or 1400 T11 feed. Which would take more time? Selecting the option every time or grinding for 1400 T11 feed? I fail to see where it takes "significantly more time and effort".
Console General Discussion#38 Rustigo03/15/2019, 02:34 PM
Gonna say you were extremely lucky to use only 103 feed for min enchanting lol, took me 400 feed for min enchanting my boots to +12, can't remember how much it took for chest, those are my only two tier 12 pieces so far though rest is ambush. but still significantly less then max feed enchanting
+12 misery isnt a wastw of time. Itll turn into twistshard gear.

Also minimum feed stock enchanting is objectively less work, full stock enchant bonus is negligible thats why literally everyone says to do minimum.

It has statistically higher probablility to +12 your gear over brute forcing it with near equivalent success chances of a full fs enchant.

Research before saying things like that, people get confused and i cant wait till april. You cant [filtered] up the new gear.
Console General Discussion#40 Lingyi03/17/2019, 12:20 PM
so with everything said and the fact that the new gear enchanting will be easier on console than on PC...

supposedly it will be cheaper to enchant post-revamp, provided that you max out on item exp, which will make the process more time consuming. Is that about right? maybe on average it'll be cheaper after revamp, but could potentially be cheaper or more costly before revamp?

I don't know I should do. It's prob too late if you haven't already hoarded feedstock and alkahest since many months ago. I suppose it is better to have a few ambush gears than one deathwrack.. unless it's your class's core gear piece (ex. weapon for dps class). Right?

I read that Frostmetal is good enough for all dungeons. Is this so? But of course, lfg expectations are much higher.

And since we will earn more gold per dungeon post-revamp, gold now is less valuable. That it is better to use up your resources and gold to try getting a head start on your gears now, then get the gold back after revamp. Yes?

1. There is no need to use SES or MES to reroll gear lines, cuz after converting or upgrading u can select the lines that u want. But if i want to rerolls again, which ressource will i need?

2. After converting old to new gear or upgrading, is it still soulbind? can another character wear it?

Stormcry +5 is good for all dungeons

Youll need semo scrolls to reroll gear lines with weapon costing the most (10)

It soul binds to that character

I can't tell what they'll do to make gearing easier on console, but from my experience on NA PC, this gearing revamp ended being a total disaster long term and i'm pretty sure made lots of ppl quit the game.
I mean, it started kinda "fair" esp when double VG rewards was the norm with triple VG events, we could farm the BIS SC+9 just playing the game, but they changed devs on HO/Apex1 patch and they're on a quest to make this game extremely grind a P2W since then.
They nerfed everything to x1 VG reward with rare x2 events at the same time we needed almost 1000 golden talents per try to HO (vs 384 talents for SC+9), there was new jewelry, extremely grindy masks that you need 100+ clears just for a chance to get the CDR one, "never ending grindy EP system", lots and lots on unbankable mats just to extend the grind and kill alts, 453 iLVL req for 3 star dungeon and 456 for end-game content, HO+2~+3 which is exponentially more grindy and with a progressive LOWER sucess chances and more unbankable mats each step, etc.
Imho the situation is so bad rn that the main source of talents on NA PC is crates from cash shop, IOD tier 1 bams is empty outside x2 events cuz nobody is dumb enough to farm 112 talents per 40 min when it take thousands just to ONE TRY at HO weapon.
The current devs is so out of touch with their player base that they released a new PVP gear that can DOWNGRADE each enchantment attempt and nowadays almost nobody queue for the new BG.
They think that's not enough and in the next [filtered] lv 70 patch (prob the last patch on NA Tera..) they wanna make the game way more grindy with 1+ month lv65-70 farming + 2 mil gold spend on "glyphs" per alts on top of a new "EXP" system to level pets for some power creep stats..
Do you really think that they gonna fix all this crap when they port these patch to console?
Anyway enjoy the early gear revamp/rke patch cuz imho was the last patch worth playing on Tera.

About Frost Metal and gear exp: FM/439 iLVL is enough to clear mid-tier (RKN) content but 2 patch down the line they'll raise iLVL reqs for VG rewards on newer dungeons so much that FM will be trash tier and the effective mid-tier will be a grindy af SC+7~+9.
And later (SC gear or higher) you'll realize that this gear exp BS is just another huge useless time sink with the sole purpose to make you stop playing and gearing alts.
Imho, in the end of the day, i rly think that just a FAIL CAP or % correction chance on the old +15 system would be way better than ANYTHING they did since gear revamp patch on oct/2017.
Yeah tbh HO is a very long ways away so stop crying about that NOW overloading players with useless information and doom n glooming them into leaving.

If the revamped gear is easier than when i was on pc theyll probably do the same to HO IF the game lasts that long to begin with.

Chill.

Console has a vast majority of casual players compared to PC, so most likely things will be made a little easier. As always, best way to find out is when it gets here.

oof, this is really tough on players that want to start saving up resources to enchant gears when the revamp comes and takes away the awakening cost.

i'm aware of Essential Mana guides.

I just wanted to know if the special ones are usable. But okay, I guess I can take faith in that the regular alkehests will be usable still.

@CobaltDragon do you know when the conversion rates, and thus the answer to my question, might be released, in respect to the revamp?

Thanks for all the responses, I appreciate them nonetheless.

Regretfully no.
I don't know when that information will be made public.
There may be a chance, that conversion rates will not announced beforehand, and only made public on the actual day of the update. (Included within Patch Notes)

okay, so be it. Kudos for the headsup.
Console General Discussion#56 Rustigo03/22/2019, 06:40 PM
With the new armor progression, is it just one suit I earn that I continually upgrade? or is it possible to get higher tiers to drop in dungeons?

Will weapons be the same way?

and if it is the same set that I just upgrade I won't need new Crystals at all right? (you know the ones that are bound to the armor they are in)

What about etchings when I convert my weapons and armor will the etchings stay?
Console General Discussion#57 VoodooRose03/22/2019, 06:43 PM
Its in the news section but no clues on the details maybe we will know before the update hits on the 2nd

Yes 1 suit given to ypu or converted by you that you continuous upgrade into higher tiers

No new crystals itll.make you remove them first before upgrading
Etchings are not lost upon +ing gear BUT upgrading your gear to a new TIER guardian to twistshard for example it will be lost.
Console General Discussion#59 Lingyi03/23/2019, 05:34 AM
@Rustigo adding to what @Maximumbooty said.. dyads, however, will be lost when you upgrade from one tier to the next.
Console General Discussion#60 Gospodja03/23/2019, 10:27 PM
Guys, I literally don’t understand why not to release conversation rates prior to the patch, from the gamers POV. Obviously I have around 1 mil bel and 500k killing spree and I want to know whether I would be able to buy anything for those credits after patch or I would buy smth now or etc. and there are million of things like that, and I’m pretty sure you either don’t know urself, as BH actually doing whatever they want and just give you the facts. Meanwhile EME seems not being to much worried about that as donations are going to be made more if ppl don’t store things that are going to be useful and sell all useless stuff right now. It means less grind and less real money, I get it, but this is disrespectful to the hardcore players.
Console General Discussion#61 Sarumonin03/24/2019, 05:19 AM
"If conversion rates are released prior to the day-of-update , plenty of players could take advantage of those facts, buying materials from unsuspecting players on Trade Broker for super cheap, and getting a huge boost to their own progression."

This was posted by @CobaltDragon on the EME Discord.

On a personal note, I do wish I knew the rates, so that I could prepare ahead of time, but at the same time I understand that players could completely disrupt the economy and progression if they knew ahead of time.

My suggest is, anything of progressional value (Talismans, Badges, Feedstock, etc.) hoard on, and keep large amounts. This way you'll be prepared!

As the conversion rates will be different from PC, you may see a list of those rates when the Patch Notes release. Before that, is doubtful.

I hope that helps!
Console General Discussion#62 Gospodja03/25/2019, 01:38 PM
Lol I asked specifically about PvP currency. And of course those who are interested in game, who read news and forums know more. In Neverwinter it never killed economy or smth. As history shows only few are making what is beneficial, meanwhile the majority doesn’t care. So why again we focus on those who don’t care. Make 2 news, 1 where you state date and time of releasing the rates and in 1-2 days release it, so all be prepared. What the heck, one again, no respect to those who play long.
Console General Discussion#63 Rustigo03/25/2019, 02:10 PM
If we knew weeks ahead of time, I don't think it would have a negative impact on the economy, yes some people may get taken advantage of, but you will have that regardless.

As a casual player who doesn't have a ton of resources it would be nice to know where to focus the little time I have, Use up things that won't convert well. Know what to spend my tokens on and more.
Console General Discussion#64 Sarumonin03/25/2019, 03:58 PM
@Rustigo, I'd say the same materials will be used in the conversion - just the rate will be different. I'd say to just hoard any of the items from the PC side of things, and come revamp you'll have emblems.

Though it's not 1:1 with PC, at least it'll be something!

I can provide you a link to Gear Revamp if you need it.

Yes, they will. Just updated, @Gospodja :)
Console General Discussion#67 Lingyi03/26/2019, 03:35 AM
may we know if the old gears can still be enchantable after the revamp? I don't need to know the conversion list of items. Why are we kept in the dark so much. I just want to know if I should enchant now or wait for revamp.

If the answer is no but kept a secret and those that chose wrongly to wait.. they've just lost of bunch of time and energy earning these resources. I love Tera but this would be a huge blow to recover from.
You can still enchant deathwrack and ambush post revamp because you can convert it to stormcry +2 and theres no time limit on those and entro emblems its also why the awakening requirements (2k t11/12 feedstock) fee goes away.

To make it easier.

But making more goes away so youll only be able to enchant what youve made before they remove the items to create this gear

Unless console decides to leave in DW boxes and heavily nerf the bellicrum credit requirements.

They most likely wont
Console General Discussion#69 Sarumonin03/26/2019, 01:39 PM
Hey there @Lingyi, as @Maximumbooty pointed out yes, you should be able to still enchant. Expect the same system as PC, except for values (material conversion). The gear conversion should be the same as well, as far as I know.
Console General Discussion#70 Lingyi03/27/2019, 05:16 AM
Thanks, I went ahead with the enchanting anyways. Getting burnt by rng badly a second time. But alas, this is how this one game goes.

May this info be helpful for other players, anyways.
Console General Discussion#71 Gospodja03/27/2019, 09:17 AM
I asked question if merchant will reason with same goods and been answered smth like “maybe yes may be no maybe rain maybe snow”. That is not kind of answer I need and i’m not even asking of rates. I just don’t want to waste alll my pvp currencies and I have nothing to do in current patch. All my playable chars are well equipped.

Right now I want to lvl up to max gear right after patch and I am going to, and then I want to get as much gold out of those new valuable players I can, but this is my way of gaming and it also has to be supported from publisher/dev. I NWO we always had news 2-3 months prior, we had calendar and 1 big server, which made the economy great there.

And I hope, Tera will get the need of observation and competition. Otherwise, as it already is, not much skilled players will be there. Some love to grind, some love to pvp, some love to trade, and all those needs has to be covered by EME, as main representative of the game, with special care.
Console General Discussion#72 Lingyi03/28/2019, 01:47 PM
yes, this comment is a rant that I need to vent on and that has no solution that will make me feel better. But nonetheless..

It took me at least 12,000 T11 feedstock to get my ambush weapon, after awakened, from +12 to +15. All in all, based on the market value, that's nearly 1 MILLION gold.

Now with my attempt to get +15 deathwrack weapon. From +0 to +14 and still trying, I've so far spent at least 12,500 T12 feedstocks and an additional 300k gold worth of resources. I've been grinding few hours daily between 4 characters and I'm going broke. I'll spend the last few 100k gold I have left and even sell all my rubies to vendor for quick gold. Will I end up with nothing to show for it? omg.. i know he revamp is supposed to improve but not remove this rng madness. But why is this a thing to begin with?? this is so ridiculous. This is so sad. So tragic. Even if I'm given a +15 deathwrack, even if I get lucky and hit +15 within the next few days.. this has scarred my Tera experience. Even if I love the game and playing with my friends.

sigh...
Console General Discussion#73 Rustigo03/28/2019, 07:44 PM
I feel you, they should have made the awakened enchanting levels give a slight bonus on every failure as well. My Ambush bow 10k feedstock later is still stuck at +14 and I just gave up, Thought about upgrading to DW but I didn't want to put myself through that again, most of my feed usage was +12 to +13 got +14 in like five tries, only taken like ten shots at 15 just occasionally when I have extra feed and alks left laying about
Console General Discussion#74 VoodooRose03/28/2019, 10:42 PM
I gave up on it, will take my chances with the new system I guess.
Console General Discussion#75 Exipheus03/28/2019, 11:28 PM
Unfortunately, that's just how RNG works. I have a guildie who got +15 DW with 2-3 tries each time and I also know someone who has put nearly 100k T12 into their weapon and they're still at +12. Both ends of the spectrum. I find the best way to not burn yourself out is to just attempt once or twice a day. That way, you're making more materials than you're spending and it doesn't feel as stressful. (The ones I've told to enchant this way have said it feels less frustrating than mass enchanting).
Console General Discussion#76 Lingyi03/29/2019, 05:12 AM
yeah, rng...

I dropped another 3k fds and still +14. Some may call me stupid, but I'm already so far in.. might as well go all out. I'm going to start selling all my post revamp reserves. Rubies, sapphires, diamonds.. if that doesn't get me anywhere.. it means I should move on to another game.
VoodooRose wrote: »

Same here. It was a nightmare getting my Sorceress' Ambush set up to +15, then they announced Deathwrack was coming out, shortly after that. Once I got all of the materials to craft a full set of Deathwrack for my Brawler, I got everything up to +12 and awakened everything, in preparation to continue enchanting. I have still never even gotten the weapon beyond +12, after numerous attempts and thousands of feedstock. Sometime after I had awakened everything, they came out with the announcement for the whole new enchanting system, so when I gave my Gunner a set of Deathwrack, I enchanted it to +12 and have not bothered to awaken it. I am waiting for the new system, to try finishing up both sets of Deathwrack. I am going to save up some feedstock and alkahest, then once I can "play around" a little with the new system, experimenting with the weapons first, then I will figure out if it is worth continuing to enchant the Deathwrack gear up with feedstock and alkahest before converting it, or just go ahead and convert the gear and trade the remaining feedstock in for entropic emblems.

At least I have been reading that some of the new enchanting materials (at least the gems) can be crafted. I actually love the gathering and crafting in this game, and I do a lot of it, so I am looking forward to seeing the designs for the enchanting materials, and if the ingredients to craft those items are not too difficult to obtain, then I will have a lot of fun crafting even more materials, especially if I will be able to use my crafted materials to upgrade my equipment. I have had masters in all four crafts for quite a while, so at least I am ready for that part of the revamp.
Console General Discussion#78 Lingyi03/30/2019, 08:56 AM
just want to update..

after 12.5k fds (and 6.25k alk, ofc) and additional maybe 800k gold worth of resources.. my dw weapon hit +15. I can't say I "earned" it bc it's rng. Do I deserve it? that's not for me to say. But I can say that I got lucky and that I am glad I got something in the end.

I wish everyone luck.
@Lingyi - That is a LOT, but at least you got it. CONGRATULATIONS! :) :+1:

Vanguards as well after they are buffed

PC:Guardian weapon form 0 to 1 need(Golden Talent*7,Wood Scrap*7,112 gold)
PS4:Guardian weapon form 0 to 1 need(Golden Talent*20,Wood Scrap*10,1023 gold)

i think is time to uninstall TERA

Dismantling certain items are not giving emblem thingies (lol)
Much more costly than I originally thought considering I went broke trying to get my gear up before the update hit so many failures ….
Anniversary items in store are loot boxes or is store not update yet ?
Reading the discord and compared item conversions and what not...
Elin gunner is cute and I like the racoon look :)

It's quite the opposite. 412 vanguard dungeon quests were giving 600 gold on PC, while on console they are 200g, that's a 3 times less reward. And guardian legion jewel box guaranteed to contain 2 rubies on PC, while on console they mostly give 1 ruby, which is 2 times less reward.
Console players gonna have a hard time farming gold needed to gear up...

Today in 5 hours I did 10k. I had to sell rubies and emeralds to upgrade my Twistshard to Frostmetal, but I don't think it's that difficult to farm gold... true is, I still have to upgrade this gear and maybe it will take more money and failed attempts :s

is it 10k because you sell rubies and emeralds? if you sell them and finally you have to get them back to upgrade gear.

Yes, but with my guild we are gonna craft them, so maybe it wouldn't be so difficult to have them back :/
So what are the main ways to make gold now? Beside selling EMP and assuming that you have twistshard gear, don't have a party to run dungeons with.
From what I've tried, guardian missions are more or less good, I was getting 2-3 chests on each quest with my +5 twistshard weapon, which is 1 ruby and some gear xp. You may need to spend some of the earned gold on hp pots though, depending on how much boss gonna spin around during the fight.
Dungeons. Lilith and Kalivan don't take much time to clear, a skilled dps can carry an entire party through there pretty fast and you get 450 gold, some gear xp from vanguard and some drop from the dungeons themselves. But IM seems to be dead for dps classes, sometimes need 30+ minutes for queue to pop up. I tried to apply to lfg with my 433 gear a few times but never got an invite. Probably this is a better option for tank or healer classes.
Island of dawn bams. Teralith bams are quite easy to kill for dps classes since they are quite static and mostly stand still and these quests give you some gold and gear xp as well. You can also farm tokens to get etchings. Higher level bams may be more profitable, I remember nagas were relatively easy to kill, but I haven't got enough gearscore to do them.
Tried to run Pit of Petrax several times, it dropped 3-2 rubies and 1 liquid metal each time. Didn't take much time to clear with twistshard weap, but the boss was quite annoying since it is mostly immune to CC so it was hard to hit him from the back on my sorc.
So this is pretty much it from what I've found. Haven't tried ghilleglade, the drop was poor there on console, from what I remember.

Easiest way to earn gold atm (besides dungeons) is to run all 40 legion missions on as many characters as possible. Q up for a dungeon and just run ur legions while waiting. Takes about 30min-1 hour to get all 40 done on 1 charecter. Quickest/easiest class I've found to run em is valk due to it's massive self heals and aoe damage.
Console General Discussion#93 Rustigo04/05/2019, 03:38 PM
Do we sell the gems you get for running them then?
Console General Discussion#94 HGHNWAN7AE04/05/2019, 04:09 PM
I sell em. They can be combined into higher tier gems that are used for upgrading higher tier gear. But the higher tier gems drop from dungeons anyway so I just sell all the Ruby and sapphires I get

I find sorc to be quite comfortable as well since it has a lot of AOE damage and a lot of ways to avoid damage.

I spent 7k to convert my rubies into sapphires and half my sapphires into emeralds. I sold half my emeralds and made 70k. Unfortunately, the best way to make decent gold right now is to sell materials you need in quantities that won't leave you unable to enchant.

Yeah that didnt feel to good (they wasted alof of my time doing that especially since IF I had been active I would have dismantled every piece of gear before the patch) and adding insult to injury I notice that my server is basically dead anyway so no point in starting up again which is too bad.
