However, Minea, will deleting these forums affect user post history? e.g. If I made a post in one of the archived threads years ago, and it gets deleted, will I still be able to find that post from my user history?

You won't be able to view the post from your history after the archive goes away.


As for the new forums, the product we were planning didn't work out for us, at least for now. If/when we implement a new forums, we want it to be better than what we currently have and provide a better service/experience for all of our players. (A little bit more from Treeshark's AMA a month ago)

Starting today until Monday, July 6 enjoy the first events of the summer—Rootstock, Bamarama, and Pond Faire!

Rootstock (for players level 29 and up)

The Freeholds are celebrating another harvest. Enjoy mini-games like Kick-Bale and Pigling Rodeo. Complete Rootstock daily quests for achievements, food, and profit. Collect and enjoy plenty of Rootstock food and drink!

Bamarama (for all levels)

Back behind Rootstock, the BAMs come out to play! Place wagers on which of two BAMs will win in a head-to-head match up! To bet, use tickets earned by completing Rootstock daily quests, or purchase additional golden and diamond tickets from the Bamarama bookies, then place your bets with them. If your BAM wins, you'll get a piece of the purse, via parcel post: more tickets, which you can sell back to the bookies when you're ready to cash out!

Pond Faire (for players level 18 and up)

Love is in the air in Tuwangi Mire! Join in the celebration as the baba (baby) tuwangis turn seven, grow up, and start their new lives. All the happenings start at the giant flaming frog bonfire and at the pond below. Enjoy daily quests, achievements and mini-games full of drums, frogs, and tuwangis!

So whether you’re in it for the frogs or in it for the BAMs, there’s a TERA festival for you this summer!

Rootstock has started, but unfortunately removing the production point cost for the updated Rootstock event is not something that we can do. We'll forward the feedback though.

Q: Now that the free server transfer event is over, do you have an ETA on when the transfers to Ascension Valley, Celestial Hills, and Tempest Reach will become available again?

The reason we opened a new PvE server, Highwatch, was to due to the explosive growth of our player base since May. We had to raise the population cap of all of our PvE servers (AV, CH, TR) to about 120% of the recommended setting. It's been a week after the transfer event, and we've been monitoring the situation closely. We will continue to monitor the servers with the current restrictions for now, but we will make sure to update you when we have additional information on when the restrictions will change.

This was announced in our FAQ for the name release:

Q: What time on June 25 will the name release occur?
The name release will occur immediately following the normal weekly maintenance. Maintenance is expected to be complete at 9:00 a.m. Pacific Time, although it may finish a few minutes earlier or later, depending on the changes that are being implemented to the game that week.

It is very difficult to troubleshoot technical issues, let alone issues that do not give an indication as to what is causing them. We have a pretty detailed support sections here: http://support.enmasse.com/tera

Past that, the best way for us to help would be to have you open a ticket. We can get an idea of what kind of hardware you are using, and see if we can figure out what the cause is.

I'd suggest opening a ticket, and to help us help you, please also include your developer logs and diag information when contacting us. You can see how to do that here:

It sounds like the usual culprits (like exchange rate!) aren't the cause here, so hopefully they'll be able to assist you.
You should have received the item by now. Could you double check for us by logging out completely and logging in then checking the Item Claim?

So we've been monitoring the delayed Rogue's Garb delivery and it is going a bit slower, meaning the purchases from the weekend are still being delivered.

If the item delivery doesn't occur by tomorrow morning, let us know please by replying to this thread. (All Rogue's Garb purchases from the weekend should be delivered by then.)

We've been working to deliver the delayed items today and have verified that they are now being delivered.

While we aren't done with assessing the situation to the fullest yet, you should be seeing the items delivered to you if you purchased Rogue's Garb during the hours we were having an issue.

If you have purchased Rogue's Garb over the weekend and have not received the item yet, could you let us know by replying in this thread?

We're having a recruitment drive, where you and your friends drive off with the rewards. We're offering bonuses to players who recruit a few friends to join them in the world of TERA between Monday, June 22 and Sunday, July 12.

We're sending TERA players who have logged in since May 1 and are subscribed to the TERA newsletter five recruitment codes to distribute to friends (prospective TERA players). Each friend who uses one to make a new En Masse account and play TERA gets awesome bonuses. But it doesn't stop there! Get them in your guild and help them level up and you'll get even more amazing bonuses!

Of course, there are a few rules:

• You must be subscribed to the TERA newsletter before June 21 at 11:59 p.m. PDT to be eligible to participate as a recruiter and receive the recruitment codes. Subscribe to the TERA newsletter from your Profile Management page at https://account.enmasse.com.
• New recruit accounts must be separate En Masse account created on June 22 or later.
• New recruited players will have until Sunday, July 12 at 11:59 p.m. PDT to complete certain objectives within TERA to earn themselves and their recruiter various rewards.

PSA: Inactive Character Name Release

Q: How do I make sure to preserve my character names?

As announced back in May (newspost here), we will be releasing the names of the inactive characters. Any character that has not been logged into the game world since June 25, 2014, will have their names appended with “_1”, freeing up their old names. Please make sure to have every character log into the game world before Thursday, June 25, 2015 (even if the character is newly created recently).

In-game Gold Spammers

Q: We’re seeing a lot of gold seller spams in game lately. Is there a plan to help combat this?

We have noticed the trend as well and we have banned all of the accounts associated with such activities that we have confirmed so far. While we will continue our efforts, we will also do our best to keep an eye in-game chat for these spammers.

Also, for gold sale and advertisement activities only, please feel free to PM our GM Burble to report the gold advertisement/selling activities. (You may continue to report the activity via the in-game report function too.) We appreciate your help!

Response Times for the Support Tickets

Q: The response time for the Support Ticket has been longer than usual for a while. Is there an update to the status?

We've made a good progress and currently the turnaround time is approximately 6 days. We hope to continue bring that number down although it will likely remain that over the weekend. We've a tremendous increase in the ticket volume due to the huge influx of players, so we appreciate your patience.

As stated in our latest update thread, we've made a good progress and decreased the response time from 9-10 days to approximately 5 days. While we are excited about this, we are not satisfied and will continue to better our response time.

Thank you for your patience as we work through the large increase of Support Ticket volume after the new class and Steam launch.

The dungeon is different. If you memorized FoK, it won't help you here. To avoid that confusion, we renamed it.

From what I've read, it's what you might call semi-equalized. People who don't pass something liked an ilvl check or some other minimum requirement will be given an equalized set that can compete with the big dogs.

But hopefully Treeshark can clarify with more specifics.


It's an iLevel check of 197. All below that get the eq gear, and all above keep their gear. This system will also be applied to FWC.

There’s been a lot of questions on what’s coming up next for TERA in July, and I’d like to take a few minutes and outline the latest changes for you. We will have a lot more details in the coming weeks, but until then, here’s a quick preview!

Go Berserk!
• New skills expand the berserker’s already impressive capabilities with a defensive stance that allows them to function as a tank!

The Dressing Room
• The Dressing Room lets you preview all cosmetic items for your class and see how your character looks in a full ensemble. While you won’t be able to purchase items there—it’s not a shopping cart—you will be able to see where to pick up that perfect look. (Note: The Dressing Room does not replace or change fashion coupons in any way.)

Vault of Kaprima
• A 5-person dungeon in which you will battle a familiar foe, resurrected by archdevan blood magic. While you might think you know these fights, the archdevas have added more than a few surprises.

Shattered Fleet
• Shattered Fleet is returning as a level 65 dungeon.

Tier 7 gear
• Lucid (PvE) and Tensus (PvP)gear is now the top tier equipment in the game. T7 feedstock and alkahest will also now drop in game.

Also, here are some of the juicier parts of the update that we’ll be sharing more details on as we get closer to the release:

Test your skill on the Gridiron—a new free-for-all PvP battleground.
Face off with a forgotten god in Akeron’s Inferno—a new 10-person raid dungeon (Normal and Hard modes).
Venture into the unknown in Timescape—a new 5-person dungeon (Normal and Hard modes).

We don't have a specific date or an ETA yet but we will be sure to keep everyone updated when we do get one.
We know the warrior is one of the most requested "teach me how to streams" and Tonka is still working on getting the next few streams scheduled :)

Have you tried running repair? It sounds like an issue with your game files or your computer's ability to run TERA.

If the quick repair through the launcher doesn't work, contacting our support team is your best bet.

You should also run the TERA launcher as an administrator - the "Insufficient Memory" error is often caused by not running the launcher as an admin.

"Highwatch opens Tuesday, June 9 following server maintenance and will be available to new characters and transfers from all servers. Server transfers will be free for a limited time, but transfers to Tempest Reach, Ascension Valley, and Celestial Hills are temporarily suspended."

As included in last week's Stuff of the Week, we've been investigating unusual lag spikes. We're actively working with our service provider to identify and resolve the issue, but in the meantime, we'd like more information.

If you are experiencing this, please help us by running the trace route to 208.67.49.28 during the lag spike and PMing me with the result + your location (state or province will do!).

If you are experiencing unusual lag spikes:

Windows Vista, 7, or 8

1. Click the Windows icon on your task bar, or press the Windows key on your keyboard.
2. Type "CMD" and press Enter on your keyboard. This opens the command prompt.
3. With the command prompt open, type "208.67.49.28" and hit Enter. This runs a trace route to one of our servers.
4. Attach this information to your PM. To do that, right click on the command prompt's window border.
5. Hover your mouse cursor over Edit and click Mark.
6. Hold left-click on your mouse and drag the box over the information you need to save.
7. Once the section is highlighted, right-click the window border again.
8. Hover your mouse cursor over Edit and click Copy.
9. You may now paste this information and PM Minea along with your location.

Q: Along with the recent adjustments in drops in Ravenous Gorge, Bathysmal Rise Hard Mode and Sky Cruiser Endeavor Hard Mode, are there plans to adjust the drops in Sky Cruiser Endeavor Normal Mode as well?

Unusual Lag Spike

Q: Some players have been experiencing unusual lag spikes recently.

Gunner Outfits in Fashion Coupon Store

Q: There are some gunner outfits in the Fashion Coupon store that cannot be previewed. Is there a plan to get them fixed?

This bug was forwarded to Bluehole, but currently we are not aware of an ETA.

In-Game Chat

Q: While playing TERA, sometimes we see extremely offensive/inappropriate chat. What should we do?

While TERA is a rated M game, we do ask our players to be mindful of others to encourage our TERA community to be even more friendly and welcoming. If you see extremely hateful, offensive or inappropriate chat in-game, please use the in-game report function to report the player. The moderation action may not be applied immediately, but we review every report and take the appropriate action. Thank you for your help in keeping our community awesome!

Response Times for the Support Tickets

Q: The response time for the Support Ticket has been longer than usual for a while. Is there an update to the status?

We've made a good progress and currently the turnaround time is approximately 6 days. We hope to continue bring that number down although it will likely remain that over the weekend. We've a tremendous increase in the ticket volume due to the huge influx of players, so we appreciate your patience.

@eego, have you tried the steps in the FAQ? It also explains the common causes of this error which can help for additional troubleshooting.
I'm afraid we ask our community that any type of Founder's copy trading on the TERA forums to be a giveaway. (It is extremely difficult to verify such transaction.)
