Yep, the welcome window is not working correctly either.
This seems to be a bug as it should drop 1 in Ghillieglade (this is not a chance). We're looking into it.

Kyra’s Pop-Up Potion Shack is open for business in the TERA welcome window—but she needs your help!



Kyra is a master potion-maker and she periodically sets up her traveling shack to make and sell potions. However, Kyra needs the help of players to make her potions. Specifically, she needs one final ingredient: catalysts. Following maintenance on Tuesday, August 4 and continuing until maintenance on Tuesday, August 18, players can collect Kyra’s Catalysts in-game via the following methods:

• Awarded upon reaching every fifth level after 20 (view our FAQ for details and restrictions).
• The final boss monster in the following dungeons will also drop catalysts:
- Shattered Fleet
- Vault of Kaprima
- Channelworks
- Ghillieglade
- Bathysmal Rise (normal and hard mode)
- Sky Cruiser Endeavor (normal and hard mode)
- Akeron's Inferno (hard mode)
- Timescape (normal and hard node)
• Victory Bonuses (awarded for winning battlegrounds) also have a chance to produce catalysts.

Catalysts found in-game will be added to your inventory. Using the catalysts (by right-clicking them) will add them to your catalyst balance in Kyra’s Pop-Up Potion Shack, which can be accessed via the TERA welcome window. You can also purchase catalysts directly from Kyra with EMP.

For every 5 catalysts the player gives to Kyra, the player will receive one of the following prizes, awarded at random:

• 10,000 and 5,000 EMP Prizes
• Premium Alkahest jackpots (500 and 250)
• Extensive Alkahest jackpots (1,000 and 500)
• Blessed Enigmatic Scroll jackpots (300 and 100)
• Master Enigmatic Scroll jackpots (500 and 200)
• Spellbind jackpots (1,000 and 500)
• Level 60 Scroll
• Elite Status Voucher (30-day)
• Costumes and accessories from the following sets: Fancy Dress, Legitimate Business, Bloodshadow Ninja, Wonderland, Pirates, Smart Uniform, and Animals (2014), plus some previously unreleased accessories
• Extensive Alkahest (50)
• Spellbind (75)
• Master Enigmatic Scroll (30)
• Goddess' Blessing (3)
• Semi-Enigmatic Scroll (75)
• Tier 7 feedstock (150)
• Noctenium infusion (200)

This is a limited-time promotion, so make sure to exchange any catalysts that you collect or purchase for a prize before maintenance on Tuesday, August 18! Any catalysts left unused after August 18 will be usable the next time Kyra’s Potion Shack pops up, but Kyra may not return for some time—and the prizes she offers will almost certainly be different!

From what I can see, the Elite Status began on July 4 and ended on August 3.

Regardless, could you contact our Support Team on this issue? I'm afraid the Community Team on the forums don't have access to all the tools that our Support Team does to help with billing/Elite Status issues. :(

Next Patch

Q: When will the next patch be and what's included?

Currently our goal is to publish the next patch in mid-August, and it will include the return of Nexus (in the form of a Dreamstorm), revamped friends list, class changes, noctanium changes and slight enchantment window changes. This patch should catch us up to the May 22 KTERA patch, roughly.

Farewell to Tonka

Q: Tonka is pursuing his other passion, IT, and today was his last day.

Server Transfers

Q: When will the server transfers to Ascension Valley, Celestial Hills, and Tempest Reach open again?

Currently our plan is to open the server transfers back up at 11 a.m. PDT on Monday, August 3rd.

Q: What is the current response time to the Support Tickets like?

We have been working hard to decrease the response time of our Support tickets and the current response time is around 48 hours. Thank you very much for your patience as we worked through the backlog from the new class and Steam launch. We will continue doing our best to improve the response time.

Trace Routes Gathered for Ping Spikes

Q: We have been gathering the trace route information for during ping spikes we've been experiencing. Is there an update?

We have been forwarding the gathered trace route information to our internal teams to investigate the issue, and we appreciate everyone's help on this. Based on the information we analyzed, it seemed that 90% of the reports were caused by the internet service provider or an intermediary partner provider of the player location before they reach our network. We leveraged our own service provider whenever possible to make them aware of such issues going on. (One example was a service provider in Miami, FL, having an area wide outage due to a fiber trunk getting cut by construction crew.) The other 10% of the reports seemed to be within the normal range based on the geographic distance from our servers. (This may be due to the trace route running outside of the ping spike.) However, our players' experiences are important to us and we will continue to monitor the issue.

Also, we are currently working to create a detailed guide that will be helpful on identifying where the latency occurs looking at the trace route results, along with some examples of expected latency based on the geographic location of the player in ideal situations. We will share the information with our community in the future.

Issues with Reaching Support or Making Purchases

Q: Some players have been having an issue reaching the Support site and purchasing EMP.

After our investigation, we were able to confirm that players from all different regions are reaching our Support and purchase sites. This issue seems to be related to a filtering or blocking issues at the Internet Service Provider level, not a country or our network. It could also be an issue with an antivirus or windows firewall or their own router/firewall they are using for connecting to the internet.

We recommend trying trying a different browser, turning off the popup blocker and/or firewall, and clean booting the computer. If these suggestions don't resolve the issue, please see if you are able to reach the sites using a VPN, or with another En Masse account.

This is due to the recent change that the rank counts more than top 100 and assign points to them. We'd like to change it back to weighing just the top 100 next season since it doesn't seem to suit our community. :(

Folks,

Our future plans haven't been finalized yet, but the position wasn't something that was posted before Tonka came into the role.

Treeshark, the TERA producer, is still here. But he is not bilingual in Korean (He is not Korean... And Korean is a pretty difficult language to learn if you are a non-native Korean speaker.)

Tonka's thread (pinned above) explains the reason he's leaving and that he will still be a part of the TERA community. (You can totally follow him on Twitter and he even shared his forum name. I know I will continue to make fun of him! :) )
Current ETA is around 11 a.m. PDT on Monday, August 3. I'll be sure to include it again in tomorrow's Stuff of the Week.

Q: Fashion Coupons

The instance matching system is delivering the Fashion Coupons again after Tuesday's maintenance. For Akeron's Inferno, we are unable to add the Fashion Coupons without subtracting the actual items, there are no Fashion Coupons for them.

Because we had a week (7/7-7/14) where there were no Fashion Coupons provided, we are planning to increase the number of Fashion Coupons delivered after using IMS to 20/10 (instead of 10/5 for Elite/non-Elite) for a week sometime soon. We'll share more information as things get finalized.

As mentioned in the previous Stuff of the Week on July 17 above, we will be providing x2 Fashion Coupons through IMS for a week starting today until the maintenance on Tuesday, August 4.

MT is up, I was able to log in and see other players logged in as well just now.
Log in servers are up and working properly and I was able to log into TR and see other players as well. I'd recommend completely exiting and restarting the launcher.
(Folks, there are a few in this thread who will be taking a short forum vacation for making inflammatory posts with personal attacks. Please don't do this, no matter who "starts" something. Just report and move on instead of responding. It's Friday, let's all enjoy the weekend.)

'Go Berserk!' Patch

Q: The Crusades

During last Tuesday’s maintenance, crusade scores were calculated for the end of the 5th season, and they were done so with incorrect weighting to the content of the Crusades. This was an error on our part that resulted in some guilds missing out on rankings that they were very much in place for, and even resulting some guilds dropping out of the top 10 altogether.

This was due to us missing a chance on how each Crusade content is weighted. We have recalculated the Crusade ranking based on July 7 and redistributed the Skycastles and other rewards.

Q: Fashion Coupons

On the feedback that the amount of rewards or incentives in max level instance dungeons are not satisfactory, this is something that we need the developer's support on and we are discussing it with Bluehole.

That would be a rational thing to do and even more reasonable if problems weren't ignored or some level of transparency.

It's not just topics addressing racism that get ignored but also bugs, or poorly hosted events as well.

TheRealKing, you have good intentions and it's great you want to promote more fair treatment of other players. Just as a heads up. The amount of racism and hostility in tera is an like an elephant in the room. Everybody knows it exist but pointing it out often gets you in trouble by staff....while a bigot can get free reign. It's a twisted standard and promoting fair treatment, kindness, or defending others can be seen as the crime.

TERA is proud to announce the return of two exciting summer events:

Festival of the Sun

Journey to Balder’s Refuge and help the Consos Clan get their temple back in order.

Fight off the Monsters

Sloths and ghilliedhus and snakes—oh, my! Your first step on the festival quest sends you through the many rooms of the Temple of the Sun, clearing out all the vermin that have moved in since last year.

Temple Cleanup

Once that’s done, you’ll be tasked with helping clean up their mess: Droppings, garbage, and graffiti are all fair game for this group of daily quests. Help the Temple of the Sun shine the way it was always meant to!

Ice Treats

If all that work gets you ready to cool off with a snack, you’re in luck—as long as you don’t mind doing a little extra work first. You can make yourself a sweet iced dessert, just as soon as you pick up all the ingredients.

The daily quests are randomized, so you won’t know what you’re in for on any given day until you log in. Festival quests are for level 58 and up. The festival is only here for the summer. Check back every day to see all the quests while the festival is still here!







Beach Party

Head on over to Dragonturtle Beach and play some beach games while you soak up the sun.

Splash Cannon Mini-Game

You’ll find the splash cannon mini-game on both shores of the party—on Dragonturtle Beach and Kerozen Isle. Speak to the mini-game coordinator, then shoot water at the demons out in the surf for points.

Watermelon Mini-Game

Talk to the mini-game coordinator to tie on a blindfold and get to smashing watermelons. Don’t confuse them with the barrels, though—they sound just like the watermelons, but don’t give you any points.

Sandcastles

Fill your pockets with sand—intentionally, this time! Grab sand from around the beach and build as many sandcastles as you can. Build enough, and you can get magic items that let you build sandcastles anywhere—permanently.







The beach party starts on Thursday, July 16 (after maintenance), and only lasts until Tuesday, August 25—so get as much sun as you can before it’s gone!

Note: While the mini-games and sandcastles are available to all levels, any quests associated with the beach party are available only to characters level 48 and higher, so level up quick to be sure you don’t miss out on any of the fun!
We're in the process of sending them out as we speak, but it takes time. (I'd give about 1-2 hours before everything is sent out.) The rewards will only be sent to the ones who got into the ranking after it was recalculated (because the unchanged ones already received their rewards). Those whose ranks went up will receive additional rewards.

Hello,

How the Crusades ranking is calculated has been changed but this was missed on our part. We are in the process of finding out more with our developer and will share more information once we have a clearer idea. As for the new instances not being included, the focus was to provide additional motivation to play the instance dungeons that are not the newest or give the newest items.
Fashion Coupons should have been fixed with this morning's maintenance with some localization bugs (text on certain items). Are they not being sent after IMS? (If so which instances?)
(Please remember to focus the discussion on TERA, as topics surrounding non-TERA/En Masse games should be avoided. After all, this is the Official TERA Forums.)
The login server issue should have been resolved around 1:30-1:35 p.m. PDT. All should be able to log in normally.

Restricted Server Transfers

Q: Server transfers to Ascension Valley, Celestial Hills and Tempest Reach are currently unavailable. Do we have an ETA on when they’d become available again?

The reason we opened a new PvE server, Highwatch, was due to the explosive growth of our player base since May. We had to raise the population gap of all of our PvE servers (AV, CH, TR) to about 120% of the recommended setting. Highwatch is still very new, and our top priority is to ensure the health of the new server. We’d like to continue monitoring the servers with the current restrictions for the next two weeks before we reevaluate the situation.

'Go Berserk!' Patch

Q: The Fashion Coupons aren't being supplied after completing an instance through the Instance Matching System.

This is a bug that we're working to address and the Fashion Coupons will be back next week.

Q: Currently some players start out with 1000 or 0 personal rating for Gridiron.

We've been working with Bluehole to investigate this and found out that the players who have participated in a battleground before and after Tuesday's patch have different ELO - anyone that had ever played a BG before Tuesday’s update would be playing at 0 ELO and anyone playing after is at 1000 ELO. This is also due to launching Gridiron in the middle of a BG season, which resets along with Crusades on Tuesday.

On Tuesday (July 14), everyone's will reset to 1000. Our only other option was to reset everyone’s ELO to 1000 and erasing all progress that had already been made. This posed risk in further downtime and little testing, so we have opted for Tuesday's reset.

Q: The SCHM and BRHM drops have been changed.

Since the drops have to be re-evaluated with the new gear sets in mind, they have been readjusted to drop appropriate items for characters to get to t7 and with their place in the game now.

Q: Guild vs. Guild

Not being able to decline a Guild vs. Guild was unfortunately missed from the patch notes. Another change is that Fame is distributed per level 65 and 100 Fame each.

Corsair's Stronghold

Q: Queue Changes

The new queueing method as a 1 or 2 person is an intended change that we currently don't have a plan to make further changes.

Q: Accessing an Unreachable Platform

We have received reports of characters getting onto a platform where they cannot be attacked by the enemy team while they can still attack. This is considered as a game exploit and we will treat it as such. If you encounter such behavior, please submit a Support Ticket with as much information as possible including screenshots, character/server name, etc. We will take the appropriate action.

Announcer Voices in Battlegrounds

Q: Is there a way to mute the new announcer voices in the battlegrounds?

Muting or adjusting the "Ambient Background" sound in the audio option in game should do the trick.

I used 56 semi-enigmatic in a ring, but the translations of some rolls are incorrect and just let me confused, rip my 56 semi.

Could you share more information? What does it say and what rolls? What ring is it?

Is the bellcarium problem only for some people? Or is everyone capped at 40k? I capped at 40k but my friend seems to have the 160k cap. Would it be possible to fix this sometime this week or give the ones with 40k cap the bell we can't get?

Could you PM me the character and server names and the capped scores?

The second sentence contradicts the first.

What Treeshark mean is that while the Dressing Room should only be showing the items that are currently available at the TERA store, there are some that are not available and we're working to fix it. ('s why his next sentence was "I am working on fixing the latter." :) )
All of the characters you have are very interesting!

• Non-level-65 characters are receiving the level 51 Kumasylum quest (“Kumas in the Cradle”) even though Kumasasylum is only available for level 65 characters.
• Fashion Coupons are not being provided through IMS.
• Incorrect tooltip: In-game tooltip for Gridiron says up to 5 players in a party can queue, when you can only solo queue.
• The Bellicarium credit cap reset before the new patch on Tuesday, so currently it is set to 40k. This will automatically correct to 120k on coming Tuesday.
• Some characters starting Gridiron with 1000 rating, some 0.
• Forcetime Necklace has incorrect text on the stat roll. (Currently "crit factor", should be "crit power")
• Schisma weapon has incorrect text on the stat roll. (Currently "crit factor by 10%", should be "by 18")

Other issues that we are currently unable to verify:

• Not being able to teleport to "Rooted in Alchemy" and "Gotta Grab them all" quests >> We were able to teleport using the Vanguard window and are not able to reproduce this issue.

So the cause seems to be related to a filtering or blocking issues at the Internet Service Provider level, not a country or our network. It could also be an issue with an antivirus or windows firewall or their own router/firewall they are using for connecting to the internet. :(
