We were still in the process of sending them out earlier. This should be done now along with the prize delivery.
Also to clarify, you had to enchant an item at least from +8 to +9. It's okay if you started out from 0 or +8, and it's okay if you went from +8 to +12, but somewhere in the process you had to enchant from +8 to +9.
The bonus entry should give an additional token as well.
Hey folks, I just checked with our team and they are still in the process of being sent out to everyone. It takes a few hours to be sent out to all, so my apologies for creating the confusion. xD

This weekend, all black dragon weapon skins are 50 percent off in Valkyon Outfitters. Now’s your chance to change your favorite weapon’s look without affecting its stats. Click on the Valkyon Outfitters button on your in-game menu to pick up a black dragon skin designed especially for your weapon:
It’s here: Valkyon Outfitters is now online! Finally, you can shop the store both in the game and on the web.
To celebrate, we are offering a new item for sale: the soft kitty hat. The soft kitty hat is available only until Tuesday, June 25, and only from Valkyon Outfitters Online.
And that’s not all! Every day until June 25, Valkyon Outfitters offers a new 99 EMP sale. These daily deals let you buy popular TERA items for a mere 99 EMP, and the selection changes every day at 11 a.m. PDT.
Come back again and again to see what’s in store for you!
For the future, will we always be able to use receipts that we got from past events on vendors for new events?
For example, if I get a bunch of receipts from the events scheduled for June 2013, then in January 2014 there's another challenge receipt event, will I always be able to use my receipts from the earlier event to get prizes from the later event?
Reasonable question, but the short answer is I don't know. It very well could be that instead of creating a new mechanism to deliver items for these type of events we use the current way. I cannot be 100% certain on this though.
Hey Solomon, are the accessories the same as the ones for the previous challenge or will there be new ones? Also, if we still have our tokens from before, can we use those, or will there be new tokens?
We are planning to add a couple items to the vendor from the anniversary event. We will announce that a bit later since it's not finalized. If you still have your receipts from the anniversary event they will work for this one as well.
You will increase your backstab percentage by aiming the reticle higher on hills and stairs. If you are only facing the mob and don't aim up you will more than likely miss.
In case you haven't seen it, the Soft Kitty hat is available at our web store. (It's not available at the in-game store, the Soft Kitty hat is a special item to celebrate our web store opening. :) )
Weekend challenges were so popular in May that we just had to bring them back for June! Complete challenges to enter a drawing for a unicorn mount, and cash in challenge receipts with Major Milestone for special accessory items.
The first June challenge starts at 12:01 a.m. PDT this Saturday, June 15. Enchant an item to +9 or better for a challenge receipt and an entry for the unicorn mount drawing.
Once you complete that challenge, you can work on a bonus challenge. Gather 20 of each type of material—plant, crystal, and ore—to earn a second entry!
You have until 11:59 p.m. PDT Sunday, June 16 to complete this weekend’s challenges. On Monday, June 17, we’ll send out challenge receipts and then randomly select 100 winners to receive a unicorn mount.
And hang on to those challenge receipts! Major Milestone is waiting for you in game to trade receipts for cool accessory items.
There are new challenges each weekend in June, with more chances to win a unicorn mount—plus more bonus challenges to improve your odds!
There are some inaccuracies in the article which we will correct with Massively. In the meantime, please refer to my letter published on Tuesday for the most up-to-date information. :)
For the North American version of TERA published by En Masse (us), we have standard, founder, and elite status. You can be 2 of the 3 statuses at the same time as well. For example, if you've purchased a copy of TERA box and subscribe as elite status, then you'll get the benefits of founder and elite. More information can be found in our FAQ here.
But I also want to clarify that for NA version of TERA, we don't use these terms "TERA club" or "veteran", so please make sure you have the correct regional version of the game. :)
Just letting you guys know that this has been fixed, sorry about the inconvenience! Also you can now use these in addition to the elite buffs and the duration of the buff will stack.
We can suggest/request, but ultimately the decision is up to BHS. That said, always feel free to share what you'd like to see and we'll do our best to relay the message.
Also to clarify, NHN does not design anything. They're another publisher for another territory. :)
Folks, most of what I said in another thread applies here too. We aren't here to define a game-related term or compare other games. As the official TERA forum, this exists to help with TERA's community and improve TERA as a game. Let's try to focus on that instead here, so I'll move this to Off-Topic instead.
@OP, This is the TERA forums, which exists to build its TERA community. If you wish to compare and discuss other games in detail, please stop. This isn't an all-game site or forums, so we need to focus on TERA. I will say this again: If you wish to come back to play TERA, that's fantastic, see you in game! But we're not here to change your mind. :)
Have you been a part of a 20-player team that defeated the new Kelsaik’s Raid? Maybe you were the one who led the team to victory? If you’ve experienced Kelsaik’s hellfire and lived to tell the tale, this contest is for you!
Show us your awesome Kelsaik strategies in a guide video! How did you survive its firebreath and flame pillars? What helpful hints and tips do you offer to the brave challengers who are looking to face Kelsaik in the 20-player raid?
Deadline
• 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time, June 23
Prizes:
• Top two videos will receive 1 Radeon HD6850 Vapor-X 1GB graphics card and one (1) TERA: Rising poster (12 x 18) each.
• Three honorable mentions will receive 1 Logitech Wireless Gamepad F710 and one (1) TERA: Rising poster (12 x 18) each.
How do I participate?

Video requirements:
• Videos can be no longer than five minutes. Longer videos will be disqualified.
• Include your character and server name in the email.
• All components of the video and audio must be your original work or from TERA. All standard En Masse Entertainment contest rules apply.
• Limit one entry per person.
OP, Welcome back! I think the best way to start would be for you to find your own reasons to play TERA. If you are interested in the game content changes since you left, I suggest the Patch Notes, that'll get you caught up nicely! If you're interested in joining a community (since you've mentioned you've pretty much played alone), an excellent way to make new friends will be to join a guild or introduce yourself in a server forum, maybe looking for a leveling friend. We're all gamers but we are all individuals. No one can tell you you should like something because they do.. I think it just makes sense for you to find what you enjoy about TERA yourself. :)
To everyone, please keep all off-topic contents (including religion) away from the forums or move to Off-Topic. This is the official TERA forums after all. Also please remember to be civil and constructive in all of your posts.
There isn't a lot i can answer RIGHT now. But I want to. I'm thinking about holding an AMA (on reddit) later this month to answer questions and stuff. Why I can't answer right now, is also something i can't answer right now.
Since the last time we spoke, we’ve enjoyed quite a celebration month for our first year of live service. Our loading screen fan art contest yielded awesome entries, and Major Milestone made an appearance to reward challenge seekers. We handed out a few thousand Gourmando mounts through our scavenger hunt, and let’s not forget about the planting of the campfires…so many campfires. I also promised last time that I’d provide more details on the upcoming content for TERA, so without further ado:
On July 2, we debut a giant patch that contains Corsairs’ Stronghold, the battleground where you siege a castle with airships, cannons, tanks, and your own wit. You’ll join a team of 20 players to attack a castle and destroy its heart crystal while defending your own against another team of 20 players. However, unlike Fraywind Canyon or the Champions’ Skyring, this battleground is not just for max-level players anymore. Accessible at level 30, you’ll be able to earn experience via Corsairs’ Stronghold. All the gear in the stronghold will be equalized, so even if you’re not max level, you’ll contribute to your team. Other features of Corsairs’ Stronghold include:
• Using tanks and cannons to both defend and attack.
• The attacking team using airships to infiltrate quickly. Its lightweight strength is also its weakness, however, so be wary of incoming cannon fire!
• A new daily quest added for Corsairs’ Stronghold.
• Rewards of Bellicarium credits and, for non-max-level players, XP.
I’m pretty excited to play this with everyone! Hopefully I won’t get slaughtered too badly, but if our recent twitch streams mean anything, I probably will. This won’t be the only thing coming in our July 2 patch. I’ve talked about decreasing the gap between our release and Korea’s before, and this patch is our first step in this direction. There will be some major changes in the world of TERA with this patch, first and foremost being a slew of class-balance changes that will affect everyone. Yes, even you mystics with your shiny new thralls. Second, the levels, difficulty, and rewards of some dungeons will be changing as well. A lot of the dungeons you’ve seen in earlier levels will be pushed up a few levels, their difficulty and rewards adjusted accordingly. There are more details here than I can provide right now, but we’ll definitely be keeping you posted. Third, the Island of Dawn will be modified to provide you a quicker leveling experience in the early stages of TERA. We’re also making a lot of little changes that will hopefully improve everyone’s quality of life in TERA—starting with a bigger friends list.
Finally, a lot of you will notice upon logging in on July 2 that the political system as you know it is no longer active. As you may have guessed from everything else I’ve said, this patch is the prelude to alliances. The most important takeaway from this right now is that the current election ending this Friday, June 14, will also be the last one, so make it count! All the specialty shops will be open in this patch until the alliances arrive in August, when we’ll see the exarchs and the different alliances start controlling the world of TERA in their own way.
A patch this big in content is also pretty big in physical size, which is why we’re enabling you to pre-load this patch onto your computer later this month. The instructions and details will be available soon.
Now, all this happens in July, but we haven’t forgotten about June! For starters, every weekend starting June 14 will have its own set of challenges, akin to the Four-to-Score challenges we had last month. We’ll randomly choose a set of winners for a new rare prize each weekend. We may also have another twist in store for these challenges, but I’ll save that for later.
In summary, the next few months come with a lot of new content, big changes, and fun events to go along with them. We’re really excited about Corsairs’ Stronghold and the new changes coming up for TERA, and we hope you are too!
Internet bullies? How dare they show up here? Are they the horrible Yelpers or Reddits I've heard of??
But seriously, if you post often on the forums, you know who you are and so do we. I'd say as long as the posts are constructive and are within the rules there's nothing to worry about. Also the system is relatively new, so we're still looking at things.
(Also seriously, if you ever feel like a post/behavior is not appropriate, report it to us so we can take action. Thanks.)
This weekend, TERA brings takes some of your favorite exotic costumes and cuts them down to half price. Drop by Valkyon Outfitters and pick up the outfit you always wanted to wear, then slip it on and show it off!
- Jumpsuit of Death: a permanent addition to your wardrobe (for male characters).
- Leotard 3-pack: it’s like dance recital, all over again (for female characters)!
- Magic Box: what’s inside is always a surprise…but it’s an even more pleasant one when it’s the rare “Black Magic” costume.
- Martial Arts Box: A whole box of martial materials and maybe even the rare Kill BAM costume…just in case you have some huge vermin to kill.
The discounts start Friday, June 7 at 11 a.m. PDT and end Monday, June 10 at 11 a.m.
Hey Tree, how high of importance was preserving the economies of new servers such as LoT and AV when the decision to open transfers was made? For example on AV, as soon as the anouncement was made, all the vitriols (about 2 pages) on the broker that were standard price were immediately bought out (likely by players wishing to transfer them back to TR or MT) or players transfering TO TR or MT. As a result average vitriol price on broker has increased by 20-25k.
just curious
news like this was going to spike prices, and across all servers not just the new ones. like spikes in any market, things go back to how they were once it dies down.
I appreciate the (mostly) constructive feedback :).
There's a lot to consider when making a change like this and lowering the level and gold restrictions was a way to soften the blow. We've taken into consideration what you guys have said and the following change will be made effective immediately:
Current level restriction has been lowered from 40 to 30. The new June 11 restriction has been raised from 20 to 30. In other words, the level restriction is now 30 and will be so for the foreseeable future.
This has been reflected on the news post and the FAQ. As for everything else, we'll see how things play out.
p.s. There have been some questions as to how it will work when it becomes paid. It will work exactly the same, you go to the same place to pick your characters and everything. There is no server transfer token.
Character transfer method won't change, you'll still use the button from your account page after you log into the website. :)
On Friday 6/7, Treeshark, Tonka and WallyPark will be queuing up for some battleground runs at 3 p.m. Pacific Time. We will be on Lake of Tears and streaming in our official channel on TwitchTV.
Will you pay the emp directly on the website or will eme be selling transfer tokens?
I have one of each class leveled to at least 30, 4 of them are 60s. Same deal with most of my guildmates. If my guild decides to transfer because VoT is still too empty, it'll cost each of us at least $100. :/
How you transfer will remain the same (the button on the account AMS page), so it will not be a token. It's free until Tuesday.
Subject: Server Transfers Now Available to Lake of Tears and Ascension Valley
Until now, we’ve offered free server transfers for everyone…to anywhere except two servers: Lake of Tears and Ascension Valley. I’m happy to announce that these servers are now open for transfer (to and from), however it also comes with another very important change. Free server transfers will no longer be available after noon PDT on June 11, PDT. After this date, there will be an EMP fee to transfer servers, so make sure you are on the server you want to play on before noon PDT on June 11.
As of right now, everyone’s server transfer cooldown has been wiped clean, and transfers are open to all servers with the current restrictions in place: level 40; 20,000 gold limit.
At noon PDT on June 11 , the new restrictions will be as follows:
- 2,750 EMP for standard players; 1,650 EMP for elite players
- Character must be at least level 20
- 50,000 gold transfer limit
- Five-day cooldown
Other restrictions still apply. Please see the FAQ for more details.
If we could put the Village Atlas on the Elite Bar we would. This part has nothing to do with pushing people towards buying more from the store and everything to do with a technical limitation. I know there are a lot of conspiracies over what we do, but offering the best Elite Status experience to you is in our best interest. The day that BHS says they have it figured out is the day I personally fly over to get the fix and put it on our servers.
Although our solutions are not the perfect ones, we are trying to lessen the hassle of this. Other territories are faced with the same problem as well (we've asked), so it is something they are looking to fix.
Unfortunately those weren't viable because we couldn't/can't change the item characteristics. (Stackable, non-stackable, expire before being claimed from Item Claim, etc.) :(
Your elite status already gives you great perks, but there’s always room for more good stuff. Starting June 4, you will receive five 3-day village atlases with each month's subscription renewal—perfect for letting your alts get around the world quickly.
Remember—the time doesn’t start counting down until you move your village atlas from Item Claim to your inventory. And if 15 days just isn’t enough, you can always buy more from Valkyon Outfitters!
In April, TERA fans flocked to Fraywind Canyon in droves to join in the action—and we noticed. Now we are pleased to announce the return of the equalized battleground, with new team colors for the summer season.
To join the action, all you have to do is queue up for PvP by selecting the Fraywind Canyon—Equalized option in the battleground matching system. When you enter, your armor, weapons, and jewelry will automatically be converted to standardized PvP gear, in either black or gold, with the same number of crystal slots and level restrictions as your original gear.
Customize your gear, then join in the battle to capture pyres, kill opponents, and reap Bellicarium rewards!
The return of equalized battlegrounds is just one of our improvements to TERA. Be sure to check out our latest patch notes for other ways we are working to bring you the best MMO possible!
Looking to stock up on spellbinds? Now is the perfect time: for a limited time, all single, 5-stack, and 10-stack spellbind boxes are half price. Each box is guaranteed to contain 50 spellbinds and may contain twice that.
The sale begins on Wednesday, June 5, at 11 a.m. PDT and ends Monday, June 10, at 11 a.m. PDT. Don’t delay!
Treeshark, in his infinite scariness, wants to hunt Tonka and Minea down! This will happen at 3 p.m. Pacific Time today.
If you are on Lake of Tears during the stream, you have two options:
1. Join Treeshark's outlaw army to hunt Tonka and Minea. :(
2. Join Tonka and Minea to help them escape Treeshark's evil army. :)
We'll be asking for help on Lake of Tears when we begin. Tonka and I will be moving from point A to B, but we're keeping the location as a secret. (Treeshark's always swimming around on the forums...)
